Titans announce field naming rights partnership with Mediacom
Cedar Rapids, IA: The Cedar Rapids Titans and Mediacom announced today a partnership for the naming rights to the field that will serve as the team’s home field. The agreement, announced this morning from the Ice Arena, provides that the field will be called Mediacom Field at Cedar Rapids Ice Arena for the 2012 season.
“Mediacom is a proud partner of the Cedar Rapids Titans.,” said Scott Campbell, director of marketing for Mediacom’s Central Region. “It also connects two local brands – Mediacom and the Cedar Rapids Titans – which adds value to both companies.”
As part of the agreement, Mediacom Field will be branded with new exterior and interior signage, as well as various promotional materials. “This was a great opportunity for the Titans to uniquely partner with a very prominent business that has a deep commitment to the Cedar Rapidsand Iowacommunities,” said Chris Kokalis, Titans General Manager. “Both organizations are committed to giving back to the community and this partnership allows us to work together on this cause.” As another step in rebranding the stadium for the short-term, we hope Mediacom gives the team an important home field advantage while providing many exciting memories for our fans.”
As part of the partnership the Titans announced that three 2012 Titans home games including the first ever professional indoor football game in Cedar Rapids history February 23rd against the Omaha Beef and the team’s regular season home opener March 3rd against the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks will be broadcast live on Mediacom’s local MC22. Rounding out the three games to be broadcast will be the team’s May 12th home game against the Reading Express. Kickoff for all three games is slated for 7:05pm.

FIRST EVER PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL GAME IN CEDAR RAPIDS FEBRUARY 23RD
The Titans will host the Omaha Beef in a preseason matchup Thursday, February 23rd at Mediacom Field at Cedar Rapids Ice Arena. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05pm. Tickets for the preseason game are on sale now and are available through the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena box office and through ticketmaster.com. Tickets for the preseason game are $10 for bleacher seats and $15 for all other price levels including VIP, Sideline, and Corner level seats. Tickets to the preseason game are included in all 2012 season ticket packages. This will be the region‘s first opportunity to see Coach Moore-Brown‘s 2012 team and staff. There will be activities for the entire family including live music, live performances, autograph signings, giveaways, special guest appearances, and much more.
